60th birthday in July

I celebrated my birthday at Villa Lina with almost 30 guests. We kicked off with a champagne reception outside, followed by a delicious lunch in the lower part of the villa. The beautiful ambiance of the venue and the friendliness of the staff also contributed to the success of my celebration. All guests felt very comfortable. Wedding in June

We celebrated our church wedding at Villa Lina this weekend. The positive interaction during the preparation and planning of the ceremony quickly showed us that we had made a very good choice. All outstanding questions were clarified in advance, and we always felt we could rely on the arrangements. On the day of the ceremony, the champagne reception outside the restaurant demonstrated to us just how attentive and accommodating the service was that day and what the venue offered.

The guests were excellently served, and a glass rarely remained empty for long before a polite request for a refill was made. Our guests' feedback reflected this. The food was outstanding and everyone enjoyed it. We also remembered the fact that the head chef walked through the restaurant, briefly introducing himself to the guests and asking if everything was OK.

All in all, we had a wonderful day at Villa Lina, leaving nothing to be desired. We were a group of almost 45 people, and the lower level of the restaurant is ideal for this. This meant we were able to use the upper floor for celebrating and dancing in the evenings. The outdoor area also provided a great place to relax and enjoy some fresh air. We definitely recommend Villa Lina for weddings and celebrations.

Wonderful wedding celebration at Villa Lina

From our first visit, we were impressed by the ambience of Villa Lina, and one thing was clear to us: we wanted to celebrate our wedding here. Initially, we were concerned about the fact that the celebration would take place on two levels. But this actually turned out to be an advantage, as it meant the party crowd could celebrate upstairs with atmospheric music and take beautiful pictures in the photo booth on the stage. The games and activities could also be perfectly staged upstairs once the tables and chairs had been removed. The more sociable crowd could enjoy themselves downstairs in a relaxed atmosphere without being disturbed by loud music. Our guests enjoyed the lovely seating outside in the sun or in the shade under the trees. The food – barbecue buffet – was excellently prepared. The salads were perfectly dressed, and the fish and steaks were grilled to perfection. The quality of the ingredients also left nothing to be desired. We and our guests were thrilled with the extensive food. The service also deserves special mention. We and our guests felt perfectly cared for from beginning to (late) end. Our every need was literally anticipated. The staff struck a balance between professionalism and warmth, making everything feel very relaxed and authentic. We'd like to give special mention to Alex, who was always in the right place at the right time. His charm and humor, as well as his talent for planning, helped us with the preparations the day before and during the ceremony. Our conclusion: It's a shame we only get to marry each other once. Any time...

We were looking for a location for our wedding reception with around 100 guests. We came across Villa Lina, run by Mrs. Wedner and her team.

Villa Lina itself appealed to us immediately, as it offers enough space on two levels for a large celebration in a beautiful, romantic, rustic, and well-kept ambiance. Ms. Wedner gave us excellent advice from the very beginning and supported us during the planning phase. She catered to our wishes and, with her experience in the catering industry, exuded a calmness that rubbed off on us as a wedding couple. The celebration itself was a great success. The food was fantastic, the meat and side dishes were of perfect quality. Afterwards, there was a wonderful dessert buffet. The food and service received much and unanimous praise from the guests. Then the celebration began. The two levels made it possible for dancing upstairs and lively conversations downstairs, and both young and old stayed until the end.

We and several guests stayed across the street in the Villa Lina guesthouse, where the bright, welcoming, and very tastefully furnished rooms were located. Overall, it was a wonderful celebration, and we would choose Villa Lina again anytime. Fabian & Martina Belzner

New Year's Eve gala at the Kurhaus successfully mastered

A successful New Year's Eve gala thanks to Villa Lina Catering and Wedner's Gastro Team. More than 240 guests from the region enjoyed New Year's Eve with entertaining and impressive performances at the Kurhaus Bad Herrenalb. The program, peppered with dancing, show performances, fun, enjoyment, and good cheer, hosted by Helga Merkle, ensured a memorable evening.

Shortly after doors opened at 6 p.m. and champagne was served in the foyer, guests around the spacious dance floor were already expectantly taking their seats, with the house sold out. The duo Corona provided the atmospheric entertainment from the very beginning with long-running hits and evergreens.

Merkle used the opportunity to welcome the guests to introduce the new spa tenants – Barbara and Matthias Wedner and their team – and to thank the tourism team, Gerlinde Weiß, for the extensive preparations. Shortly thereafter, the chef and his team opened the buffet with a delicious appetizer, a tastefully prepared main course, and a magical dessert.

The dance and show band "Players," already known from previous performances, provided atmospheric musical accompaniment. The performance of four couples from TSC Astoria from Karlsruhe was then packed with action. The experienced dancers received thunderous applause for excerpts from their program of Latin American dances, as well as samba, cha-cha, and jive, all of which they brilliantly executed.

Parodist, singer, and entertainer Tobias Gnacke then performed one gag after another. His performance as a ventriloquist together with Richard the Penguin thrilled the audience, and as a parodist of well-known international stars such as Herbert Grönemeyer, Heino, Tina Turner, Elvis, Karel Gott, Eros Ramazzotti, Joe Cocker, and Prince, he too received thunderous applause. Heidrun Puskas and Roland Tines from the Astoria-Karlsruhe Dance Sport Club provided further highlights with two solo performances on the theme of "Pirates of the Caribbean." The dance couple has already enjoyed worldwide success and has won numerous awards since 2005. They won the hearts of the audience at the Kurhaus and received thunderous applause.

The Kurhaus team counted down the seconds until the New Year, and all the guests celebrated with them, exuberant and content after the successful gala.

Excellent service

When we first visited Villa Lina, we immediately fell in love with it: a unique house where every corner tells a different story. A perfect location for our dream wedding! The hospitality of the hosts was outstanding.

An exceptionally pleasant place

We celebrated our wedding at Villa Lina in the summer of 2013. It was the hottest wedding of the year (almost 40°C), which we were able to celebrate in the beautiful and somewhat more pleasantly temperate Bad Herrenalb. Our guests also found their stay at Villa Lina very pleasant. The house is beautifully renovated, the food was perfect, and the care we provided for our guests was impeccable.

The level of support and planning assistance in advance was also positive. However, anyone who values live music even after 1 a.m. should discuss this in more detail with the venue's operators beforehand.

Great place & excellent food

The Villa Lina is a great place to hold a party. It is in a pleasant, quiet part of Bad Herrenalb, and the exposed beams make for a cosy setting. There’s a restaurant area and bar downstairs and a dance floor and more restaurant tables upstairs. There’s also a courtyard where you can move outside for drinks or games.

I went to a wedding party here, which included drinks outside on arrival, a sit-down meal, skits, speeches and dancing, and it was a superb setting for all of these activities. And the food was excellent.
